About the Role

This position serves as a Supervisory Inventory Management Specialist for non-expendable (NX) assets/material In a VA Health Care System and supported catchment area.Supervises multiple supply or material classes/series.Is recognized as Material Management Section's subject mailer expert and serves as advisor and consultant to the Chief Supply Chain Officer and Assistant CSCO on property management matters for sound materiel management concepts, practices, and control of all personal property.

What You'll Do

  • Duties include, but may not be limited to the following: Plans, directs and manages the activities of the Material Management Section, to Include property management, equipment management, run warehouse receiving, and distribution.
  • Oversees the lifecycle management of non-expendable assets in the VA HCS and supported catchment area.
  • Conducts data/information analysis for acquisition planning associated with materials and/or capital equipment.
  • Develops and supports the creation of acquisition strategies and standardization initiatives to acquire and purchase high-tech, high-cost medical devices, surgical equipment devices and major classes of materials, displaying familiarity with contracting laws and regulations with Industry practices.
  • Participates In VISN and facility strategic planning to support major and minor construction projects. activation of new facilities, and reuse of existing space involving multi-million dollar projects.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
  • Work Schedule: Full-time, Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm.
