About the Role
About the Position: The incumbent will be responsible for supervising a team of in plant engineers in planning, organizing, coordinating, and executing technical services required for operation and maintenance of hydropower facilities.
What You'll Do
- →Provide professional consultations on a broad range of difficult technical issues and problems related to hydropower facilities.
- →Develop inspection, maintenance, and repair standards for hydropower equipment.
- →Provide professional technical guidance to other employees involved in hydropower engineering processes.
- →Serve as the field engineering Point of Contact (POC) for other districts, divisions, and customers on hydropower engineering matters.
- →Review architectural and engineering statements of work and prepare project time schedules and cost estimates.
- →Provide technical review of design calculations, analyses, drawings, and specifications to ensure compliance with project objectives.
- →Coordinate all design phases with cognizant managers and staff elements.
- →Serve as technical representative for negotiation and administration of contracts.
- →Plan, organize, coordinate, and review the work of other engineers and technicians to ensure the effective achievement of engineering tasks.
- →Analyze project proposals submitted by installations and organizations; recommend changes and/or approve proposals.
- →Evaluate programs and projects to assure compliance with all environmental, energy use, safety, and security standards.
- →Establish performance standards and make evaluations for directly supervised subordinate positions.
- →Articulate and communicate to engineers and team members their roles, functions, and project milestones.
- →Advise management officials of higher rank on technical and programmatic matters.
