About the Role
You will serve as a Supervisory Interdisciplinary in the Test and Evaluation Division, Data Management Branch of NAVTESTWINGLANT NWCF.
What You'll Do
- →You will plan work and prepare performance plans covering work to be accomplished by subordinates, along with adjusting short-term priorities.
- →You will evaluate work performance of subordinates and recommend official performance ratings, as well as giving advice/counsel to employees on both work and administrative matters.
- →You will ensure sound fiscal management by observing and applying position management and classification principles, along with forecasting budgets and providing information to higher level management.
- →You will support test programs in developing and executing data management plans to ensure efficient and effective test and evaluation execution.
- →You will plan and manage team assets to include personnel, processes, and facilities as well as negotiating with program managers and team leaders to assign capable resources for specific projects.
Requirements
- ✓FOR THE 0801 JOB SERIES: Applicants must meet the following basic education requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualifications Standards Manual: Successful completion of a professional engineering degree.
- ✓Such education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position.
- ✓OR Current registration as an Engineer Intern (EI), Engineer in Training (EIT), or licensure as a Professional Engineer (PE) by any State, the District of Columbia, Guam, or Puerto Rico.

- ✓OR Successful completion of at least 60 semester hours of courses in the physical, mathematical, and engineering sciences and in engineering that included the courses specified in the basic requirements under paragraph A (above).
- ✓Ordinarily, there should be either an established plan of intensive training to develop professional engineering competence, or several years of prior professional engineering-type experience, e.g., in interdisciplinary positions.
- ✓FOR THE 1310 JOB SERIES: - Degree: physics; or related degree that included at least 24 semester hours in physics OR - Combination of education and experience - courses equivalent to a major in physics totaling at least 24 semester hours, plus appropriate experience or additional education.
- ✓In either of the above, the courses must have included a fundamental course of general physics, and, in addition, courses in any two of the following: electricity and magnetism, heat, light, mechanics, modern physics, and sound.
- ✓FOR THE 1515 JOB SERIES: - Degree: in operations research; OR - At least 24 semester hours in a combination of operations research, mathematics, probability, statistics, mathematical logic, science, or subject-matter courses requiring substantial competence in college-level mathematics or statistics.
- ✓At least 3 of the 24 semester hours must have been in calculus.
- ✓FOR THE 1550 JOB SERIES: - Bachelor's degree in computer science OR - Bachelor's degree with 30 semester hours in a combination of mathematics, statistics, and computer science.
- ✓At least 15 of the 30 semester hours must have included any combination of statistics and mathematics that included differential and integral calculus.
- ✓All academic degrees and course work must be from accredited or pre-accredited institutions.
