About the Role

This position is located in the Human Resources Management and Consulting Services, Classification Office in support of the HR·Smart Position Management Team. The incumbent serves as a Supervisory Human Resources (HR) Specialist and is responsible for the quality review of actions processed by the HR·Smart Position Management Team. He/she is responsible for a wide variety of quality assessments, analyses, reviews, and technical support duties.

What You'll Do

  • Recommends changes and solutions based on organizational long and short term goals and objectives.
  • Establishes priorities and initiates action for change and program improvement.
  • Performs in-depth research, root-cause analysis, and proactive monitoring and reviewing of actions processed in HR·Smart to ensure data integrity.
  • Completes comprehensive, in-depth reviews, in the position management system, of pre-existing organizational structures considering all aspects of sound position management to improving effectiveness and efficiency of operations and service delivery.
  • Gathers, analyzes data for input into automated Human Resources Information Systems.
  • Verifies authorized position description numbers on organizational charts and perform position build in HR Smart, as needed.
  • Provides expert advice and counsel in multiple HR functional specialties, i.e., classification, position management, workforce planning including reorganizational alignments, and processing and records.
  • Performs supervisory duties at least 25% of the time.
  • Plans the work to be accomplished by the unit, assigns work to employees, and establishes production or quality standards for the unit's work.
  • Work Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
  • Compressed/Flexible: Available Telework: This position may be authorized for ad hoc telework.
  • Telework eligibility will be discussed during the interview process.
  • Ad hoc is defined as occasional, non-recurring telework.
  • Virtual: This position may be authorized for Virtual Work.
