About the Role
You will serve as a SUPERVISORY HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALIST (STAFF/ CLASS) in the Human Resources Office of COMNAVREG MIDLANT NORFOLK.
What You'll Do
- →You will provide advisory services on staffing actions.
- →You will advise management on recruitment strategies, sources, and special programs.
- →You will provide guidance on merit system principles, prohibited personnel practices, and the development and use of valid selection criteria.
- →You will assist in developing short and long range staffing plans to meet forecasted mission requirements, human capital losses, and changes in critical competencies.
- →You will identify program deficiencies and propose corrective action.
- →You will collaborate with and leads management in employing change management process concepts and techniques.
- →You will organize, plan and assign work, set priorities, and monitor workflow of subordinates based on priorities, selective consideration of the difficulty and the requirements of the assignments, and the capabilities of the employees.
- →You will approve and authorize leave and timecards, recommend awards and initiate/effect disciplinary measures as appropriate.
- →You will perform other duties as assigned.
