This position is located This position is with the USDA, Forest Service, Human Resources Management (HRM). The incumbent is considered an agency expert in the field of Human Resources Specialist work. The work performed has service-wide implications. What You'll Do
- →Plan, develop, execute, and evaluate any given Human Resources program such as: Classification, Benefits, Pay, Worker’s Compensation, Recruitment, and/or Staffing.
- →Serve as the unit’s technical expert in Human Resources Management in conducting evaluations, developing solutions to highly complex and difficult problems, and developing broad and long-range program direction.
- →Collaborate with high-level management to develop agency positions, proposals, and strategies on complex Human Resources issues.
- →Provide written and oral communication to develop and deliver briefings, reports, etc., to effectively promote program innovations and recommend resolutions to Human Resources Management problems which may be highly controversial.
- →Apply appropriate procedures, practices, policies, and guidelines, to address issues that require substantial interpretation, potential for controversy, and/or the issue involves more than one area of Human Resources policy.
Requirements
- ✓Must be a U.S.
- ✓Citizen or National.
- ✓Males born after 12/31/1959 must be Selective Service registered or exempt.
- ✓Subject to satisfactory adjudication of background investigation and/or fingerprint check.
- ✓Per Public Law 104-134 all Federal employees are required to have federal payments made by direct deposit to their financial institution.
- ✓Successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check.

- ✓New Forest Service supervisors must successfully complete all components of the required training program before the end of their probationary period.
