About the Role

The Executive Office for United States Attorneys, Human Resources Staff manages human resource policies and programs across 94 U.S. Attorneys' offices. HR provides technical oversight of delegated personnel authorities, operating personnel services, and pre-employment security screening across all U.S. Attorneys' offices. They develop and enforce HR policies, oversee delegated personnel authorities, administer distinct pay systems for Assistant U.S. Attorneys and support staff.

What You'll Do

  • As an Assistant Director of the Policy and Special Programs Division for the Executive Office for United States Attorneys (EOUSA), Office of the Chief Human Resources Officer provides program policy, technical guidance, and training on the staffing/classification program to EOUSA senior leadership and the collective United States Attorneys' Offices (USAOs).
  • EOUSA and the collective USAOs are comprised of nearly 13,000 employees located in 94 offices throughout the United States.
  • Duties include: Plans work to be accomplished by subordinates, sets goals and priorities, and prepares schedules for completion of work.
  • Recommends program modifications to promote overall human resources management efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Advises Chief Human Resources Officer, EOUSA Assistant Directors, and key Departmental staff officials concerning human resource management policies and practices that affect assigned program areas and directly affect all or substantially all USAO staff.
  • Analyzes the work force of organizational components to identify occupations, organizations or other categories of employment to identify possible areas of program improvement.
  • Represents the U.S.
  • Attorney community at meetings concerning programs policies or component-wide problems affecting one or more specialized human resource management program areas.
