About the Role
The Assistant Business Office Manager at Northern Navajo Medical Center supervises the Patient Accounts Section, including billing, accounting, and voucher staff. Incumbent serves as the backup to the Business Office Manager, managing office operations in their absence. The position is responsible for supporting efficient financial, billing, and administrative operations across the Business Office. A REAL ID will be required beginning May 7, 2025, in accordance with 6 C.F.R. 37.5 (2021).

- →Developed, implemented, and maintained policies and procedures related to patient registration, insurance verification, billing, collections, cash controls, and regulatory compliance.
- →Directed staff training, performance management, workload oversight, and quality control activities to ensure efficient operations and compliance with healthcare regulations.
- →Oversaw billing, reimbursement, payment posting, denial management, fee schedule maintenance, and financial reconciliation processes to improve revenue cycle performance.
- →Analyzed financial and operational data, prepared reports and projections, and collaborated with facility departments to improve third-party collections and overall financial operations.
Requirements
