Supervisory Health System Specialist - C&P Manager

About the Role
This position is responsible for working collaboratively with local and VISN leadership to identify and/or implement best practices and advising VAMC leadership of all program requirements pertaining to the C&P program. The incumbent will ensure quality assurance and provide oversight for the VAMC C&P program. The C&P Manager is also responsible to ensure that the Medical Staff Bylaws/Rules and Regulations are reviewed and updated annually to reflect regulations or accreditation standards.
What You'll Do
- →Demonstrates expertise in utilization of the VetPro credentialing system including knowledge of the credentialing and privileging process, documentation of primary source verifications, and how to audit credentialing files and reporting functions.
- →Participates in the monitoring and follow up for issue briefs concerning C&P issues.
- →Monitors C&P program resources to ensure programs are appropriately staffed including succession planning, mentoring and training of new C&P specialists, and preparation and implementation of action plans when vulnerabilities are identified.
- →Serves as the VAMC C&P POC for declared emergencies.
- →Work Schedule: Monday through Friday 08:00 - 04:30pm Telework: This position may be authorized for telework.
