This position is located in the Department of Health & Human Services (HHS), Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), Center for Consumer Information and Insurance Oversight, CCIIO, Marketplace Plan Management Group, Div. of Issuer Management and Operations. As a SUPERVISORY HEALTH INSURANCE SPECIALIST, GS-0107-14, you will serve as the Deputy Director for the Division of Issuer Management and Operations.
What You'll Do
- →Plan, direct, organize, and control overall work activities to be accomplished by subordinates; set and adjust short-term priorities, and prepare schedules for completing work.
- →Partner with the Division Director to identify innovative and strategic solutions to modernize the Qualified Health Plan (QHP) certification process and implement state flexibilities.
- →Direct active engagement with QHP issuers, states, and other stakeholders around QHP certification.
- →Represent the Division Director, or CMS as an agency, in contacts with the State Department of Insurance, the National Association of Insurance Commissioners, and other governmental and nongovernmental stakeholders.
- →Identify developmental and training needs of employees, providing or arranging for necessary development and training.
