This position is located in the Department of Health & Human Services (HHS), Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), Office of Strategic Operations and Regulatory Affairs (OSORA). As a Supervisory Government Information Specialist, GS-0306-15, you will serve as Group Director, and advise senior leadership on the receipt, management, response, and reporting requirements under the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA).
What You'll Do
- →Provides technical direction to Group management and staff on FOIA matters.
- →Researches and develops responses to complex FOIA appeal cases.
- →Directs and manages studies that analyze the efficiency, effectiveness, and/or improvement of FOIA operational policies.
- →Plans, organizes, and controls the resources required to assure the timely, accurate, and cost-effective accomplishment of functional responsibilities.
- →Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with Agency management officials.
