This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: Serves as Resident Engineer and is responsible for the overall management and supervision of all military and host nation construction programs within the assigned Resident Office and area of responsibility.
What You'll Do
- →Observe construction projects at all stages to identify problems and take timely action to resolve problems encountered.
- →Interpret contract specifications for area of field construction.
- →Determine if construction meets contract requirements.
- →Direct inspections of construction operations for compliance with intent of design and specifications.
- →Recommend changes in design, specifications, and schedules to accommodate conditions as the construction site or to expedite construction efforts.
- →Serve as first-line supervisor with responsibility for the technical and administrative supervision of the section, assisting the Design Management Section Chief.
- →Review project plans and specifications for engineer and/or architectural projects.
Requirements
- ✓ACCREDITATION: Education must be accredited by an accrediting institution recognized by the U.S.
- ✓Department of Education in order for it to be credited towards qualifications.
