About the Role
This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: Serves as the Deputy Fire Chief. This position is included under the provisions of Special Retirement Coverage (SRC) and may have both a maximum entry age and a mandatory retirement date. What You'll Do
- →Plan, direct, and implement the fire operations and prevention and protection programs for the installation.
- →Review and approve emergency response plans, ensuring compliance with installation, Federal, state, and local regulations and laws.
- →Make recommendations for improvements to the operations, practices, and procedures of the Fire and Emergency Services Division.
- →Answer fire calls while on duty and ensure that the Incident Management System has been implemented.
- →Prepare correspondence, memorandums, reports, pertaining to federal and local regulations covering specific fire prevention/safety standards for the installation.
