About the Role
You will serve as a SUPERVISORY FIREFIGHTER in the FIRE AND EMERGENCY SERVICES DEPARTMENT of NAVBASE KITSAP SILVERDALE WA.
What You'll Do
- →You will supervise and develop employee from GS-03 to GS-08, providing continuous feedback as well a documenting performance during annual appraisal cycles.
- →You will administer training, orientation, indoctrination, and education programs for fire safety and awareness.
- →You will lead a crew of three or more firefighters assigned to staff a pumper, aerial ladder truck, or rescue vehicle in firefighting and rescue operations.
- →You will evaluate the effectiveness of a hazardous material response.
- →You will monitor a fire department's workload to ensure goals are met.
- →You will provide technical guidance; identify training needs; interview and select candidates for vacancies; recommend promotions; approve leave; recommend awards and resolve disciplinary issues.
