This position is located in the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Office of the Chief Financial Officer (OCFO), Financial Management & Systems Division. The position serves as a first level supervisor of specialists associated with the implementation of major financial accounting systems and guidance on a variety of complex issues for integrated project teams (IPT). Non-BU: This is a non-bargaining unit position.
What You'll Do
- →As a SUPERVISORY FINANCIAL SYSTEMS SPECIALIST, GS-0501-15, your typical work assignments may include the following: Directs and controls multiple projects varying in scope and size related to sustainment, enhancement, and optimization of existing Enterprise financial accounting and resource management systems.
- →Oversees the functional/technical Integrated Project Team, (IPT) to manage ongoing enhancements and configuration changes based on approved accounting system requirements, ensuring traceability throughout sustainment, implementation, demonstration, testing, and deployment phases.
- →Overseas, coordinates, and leads the Data Management IPT to manage ongoing data quality, migration, and reconciliation activities for master and transactional data within the financial accounting system.
- →Manages the interface control IPT to identify, document, and maintain DHS, component-owned, or third-party systems required to interface or integrate with the Financial Management and Systems, (FM&S) financial accounting systems.
