The position is located within a CPAC, organizationally aligned under the Chief Operating Officer, serving as the Billing Manager for the third-party Revenue Program. The CPAC is a regionally consolidated business entity established to increase revenue within VHA using an industry best model built on regional management of key aspects of the revenue cycle, process standardization, accountability and economies of scale.
What You'll Do
- →Implements and manages all aspects of billing activities for clients and a wide range of stakeholders.
- →Ensures the financial health and integrity of Billing practices, procedures, policies, and operations throughout the facility.
- →Identifies negative and positive trends to assist in the development of strategies for revenue improvement.
- →Provides guidance, enhancement, and direction in the development of billing software.
- →Implementing an effective compliance program that trains employees in the proper execution of their duties and motivates them to comply with appropriate laws, rules, and regulations.
- →Provides managerial guidance, direction and leadership.
- →Actively providing input to the annual goal-setting process, contributing to the development of the final operating plan, and conducting on-going programmatic and multitude of factors.
- →Preferred Experience: Prior or current CPAC supervisory/managerial leadership with experience in medical billing and coding.
- →Promotion Potential: The selectee may be promoted to the full performance level without further competition when all regulatory, qualification, and performance requirements are met.
- →Selection at a lower grade level does not guarantee promotion to the full performance level.
- →Work Schedule: 8:00am to 4:30pm EST, Monday through Friday.
- →Telework: May be authorized in accordance with supervisory approval and agency policy.
