About the Role

You will serve as a Supervisory Facility Operations Specialist with the National Park Service at Lyndon B. Johnson National Historical Park. Open to the first 50 applicants or until 09/14/2026 whichever comes first. All applications submitted by 11:59 (EST) on the closing day will receive consideration. .

What You'll Do

  • Some of the major duties you will perform include but are not limited to the following: Managing human resources: Plans, distributes, and monitors work assignments.
  • Evaluates work performance and provides feedback to others on their performance.
  • Managing resources: Selects, acquires, stores and distributes resources such as materials, equipment, or funds.
  • Project management: Applies principles, methods, or tools for developing, scheduling, coordinating, monitoring, evaluating, and managing projects and resources, including technical performance.
  • Accountable for building and maintaining a safe work environment: Eliminates safety hazards in the design and use of facilities, equipment, operations, and work processes.
  • Facilitating teamwork: Encourages and facilitates cooperation, pride, trust, and group identity.
  • Fosters commitment and team spirit.
  • Works with others to achieve goals.

Requirements

  • Must be a U.S.
  • Citizen or National.
  • Appointment subject to background investigation and favorable adjudication.
  • Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • Direct Deposit participation required.
  • Successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check.

  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license throughout employment.
  • Must have a current or obtain within one year of entrance on duty a Contracting Officers Representative (COR) Level 1 certification.
  • You are required to wear a uniform and comply with uniform standards.

  • You are required to complete training, obtain and maintain a government credit card with travel and purchase authority.
  • A financial disclosure report will be required within 30 days of appointment.
  • You may be required to work on-call, evenings, weekends, holidays, overtime and shift work.
