About the Role

Reclamation is seeking a career professional looking for an opportunity to capitalize on their expertise as a Supervisory Facility Operations Specialist. You can make a difference in the West by assisting in meeting increasing water demands while protecting the environment. Duty Location: Boulder City, Nevada

What You'll Do

  • This position is located within the Department of the Interior, Bureau of Reclamation, Buildings and Grounds Group, BOULDER CITY, NEVADA At the full performance level (GS-13) the major duties of this position include, but are not limited to the following: Oversees the day-to-day work of the Buildings and Grounds Group.
  • Participates in working meetings to justify expenditures.
  • Monitors the execution of the funding allocated throughout the group.
  • Establishes and recommends the priority and commitment of resources projected and available for projects.
  • Coordinates work operations among the group and with the Regional Management Team and supervisors from other offices.
  • Reviews and analyzes records and reports of work production, costs, equipment, and staff resource utilization to evaluate progress and to control or reduce costs.
  • Exercises significant responsibilities in dealing with officials of other offices, contractor personnel, and in advising management officials.
  • Applies administrative and managerial skills and abilities and broad technical knowledge of the operating capabilities and maintenance requirements of the LCBRO campus, facilities, grounds, and equipment.
  • Ensures that safety, security, environmental, fire, and maintenance policies, procedures, and guidelines are adhered to and enforced.
  • Performs the full range of supervisory duties.
  • Plans work to be accomplished, sets priorities, and establishes schedules for work completion.
  • Assigns work based on priorities, selective considerations of difficulty, and requirements of assignments.
  • Develops performance standards and evaluates work completed by subordinates, accepting, amending, or rejecting work as appropriate.

  • An official transcript must be sent directly from the University's Registrar's office and must be provided from the institution awarding the degree.
  • Academic transcripts certified by notary publics are NOT official.
  • Official transcripts must be submitted prior to reporting to work as a condition of employment.
