What You'll Do
- →Summary: The primary purpose of this position is: to exercise second level supervisory and managerial authorities over the 57th Wing (57 WG).
- →Directs, supervises, manages, and is accountable for the execution and functions of the wing's subordinate Staff Division Chiefs and the Commander's Special Staff (Inspector General, Resource Advisor, Advanced Programs, Base Public Affairs, Wing Safety, STAN EVAL, and Human Performance).
- →The incumbent, through the management of the Wing Staff and subordinate O-6 commanders, carries out the O-7 Wing Commander's directed priorities with full decision authority to execute the U.S.
- →Air Force Weapons School syllabus; multiple annual iterations of RED FLAG and GREEN FLAG exercises; two Direct Reporting Units, the U.S.
- →Air Force Advanced Maintenance and Munitions Operations School and the U.S.
- →Air Force Air Demonstration Squadron - the Thunderbirds.
- →Duties: Plans, organizes, and oversees the activities of the 57th Wing (57 WG).
- →Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities.
- →Represents the 57 WG with a variety of installation and functional area organizations.
- →Independently formulates strategic plans and policies and exercises broad oversight for the 57 WG to implement policies for the management of Wing activities.
