This position is located in Region 3, Mitigation Division in Philadelphia, PA. The ideal candidate for this position will have experience managing an environmental and/or historical preservation compliance program for an organization, supervising Environmental/Historic Preservation (EHP) staff, and advising senior leaders on EHP matters related to response, recovery, and mitigation operations.
What You'll Do
- →What will I do in this position if hired?
- →In this position, you will Serving as Environmental Planning and Historic Preservation Advisor for emergency response and recovery operations.
- →Typical assignments include: Supervising and developing team of Environmental Protection Specialists and other appropriate disciplines.
- →Developing, reviewing and/or finalizing agreement documents, standard operating procedures, policy, guidance, resources or tools related to Environmental.
- →Planning and Historic Preservation (EHP) compliance.
- →Providing oversight and resolutions for reviews of complex projects and serve as regional technical authority on complex environmental compliance reviews.

- →Every FEMA employee has regular and recurring emergency management responsibilities, though not every position requires routine deployment to disaster sites.
- →All positions are subject to recall around the clock for emergency management operations, which may require irregular work hours, work at locations other than the official duty station, and may include duties other than those specified in the employee's official position description.
- →Travel requirements in support of emergency operations may be extensive in nature (weeks to months), with little advance notice, and may require employees to relocate to emergency sites with physically austere and operationally challenging conditions.
