This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: Serves as the Project Manager for the District's hydrographic survey program, overseeing surveys that support navigation channels, harbors, dredging, and other civil works projects.
What You'll Do
- →Supervises the survey crews, dredge inspectors and coordinates all hydrographic survey work/projects.
- →Serves as the technical advisor on hydrographic survey procedures and standards.
- →Attends pre-bid and pre-solicitation meetings to discuss and clarify hydrographic survey requirements concerning scheduling, work layout, accident prevention and/or work progress.
- →Prepares correspondence and is responsible for all reports regarding survey activities.
- →Develops new techniques to analyze hydrographic surveys.
