The primary purpose of this position is to plan, direct, and supervise all clinical and administrative functions of the Dietary and Nutrition Department. A REAL ID will be required beginning May 7, 2025, in accordance with 6 C.F.R. 37.5 (2021).
What You'll Do
- →Plan, organize, and direct the operations of the Dietary and Nutrition Department to meet patient care needs and organizational goals.
- →Assign work to approximately 20 subordinate employees based on priorities and individual capabilities.
- →Document nutritional assessments, patient education, discharge plans, and referral information in the patient's medical record.
- →Serve as a clinical resource to medical and allied health staff on dietetic management and emerging dietary treatment approaches.
- →Implement change in operations, methods, and procedures to resolve operational problems and improve service delivery.
Requirements
- ✓Selectee may be subject to a probationary period ESEP appointees typically serve a two year trial period U.S.
- ✓Citizenship is required Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959 This is a designated position covered by Public Law 101-630, requiring contact or control over Indian children.

- ✓A one-year supervisory/managerial probationary period may be required upon selection/placement.

- ✓Background Investigation Requirement: This position requires the successful completion of a federal background investigation as a condition of employment.
