The Supervisor Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist (DRT) position is assigned to the Radiology Service within the George H. O'Brien, Jr. VA Medical Center in Big Spring, Texas. West Texas VA Health Care System (WTVAHCS) serves Veterans in 33 counties across West Texas and Eastern New Mexico which supports six (6) VA Outpatient Clinics, 40-bed Community Living Center (CLC) and 40-bed Domiciliary Program. Complexity Level 3.
What You'll Do
- →Total Rewards of a Allied Health Professional The Supervisory Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist (DRT) performs a full range of general radiologic treatment procedures and possesses broad knowledge of the different advanced specialties; Computed Tomography (CT), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Ultrasound (US) and Bone Densitometry (BD) within diagnostic radiology.
- →The Supervisory Technologist assumes full professional responsibility for planning and directing the work of subordinate technologists, GS10 and below.
- →Duties are continued in the Education Section.
- →Parental Leave: After 12 months of employment, up to 12 weeks of paid parental leave in connection with the birth, adoption, or foster care placement of a child.
- →Child Care Subsidy: After 60 days of employment, full time employees with a total family income below $144,000 may be eligible for a childcare subsidy up to 25% of total eligible childcare costs for eligible children up to the monthly maximum of $416.66.
