About the Position: This position is located within Tripler Army Medical Center (TAMC) in the Directorate of Clinical Support, Department of Radiology, Diagnostic Radiology in Honolulu, Hawaii. Tripler Army Medical Center is a tobacco-free workplace. Tobacco products include, but are not limited to, smoking, smokeless tobacco, and electronic nicotine delivery devices. What You'll Do
- →Supervise and direct the activities of employees who perform duties and tasks concerned with CT scans of the had and/or body.
- →Advise senior leadership on departmental issues and their impact.
- →Assist radiologist in CT-guided biopsies, ensuring that sterile supplies, contrast material, catheters, needles and other required equipment and supplies are present and prepared for exams.
- →Confer with radiologist to establish requirements of non-standard examinations and determine technical factors, positioning, number and thickness cut of scans, etc., to satisfy the exam requirements.
- →Receive patients and prepares them for imaging procedures by explaining the process and answering questions.
- →Provide advice, counsel, or instruction to employees on both work and administrative matters.
- →Identify training needs and plans and administers in-service education and on-the-job training of subordinates.
- →Contribute to filling vacant positions by assisting with job requisitions, participating in candidate interviews, and aiding in the selection process.
