Supervisory Dentist (Deputy Chief)

About the Role
This position serves as the Deputy Dental Chief over the Phoenix Indian Medical Center (PIMC) Dental Program in the managerial and administrative program direction to professional dental and support staff which perform both standard and difficult complex dentistry in providing corrective preventive and rehabilitative services. A REAL ID will be required beginning May 7, 2025, in accordance with 6 C.F.R. 37.5 (2021).
What You'll Do
- →The incumbent provides leadership, direction and technical expertise in the planning, development, implementation and evaluation of the clinical functions of the Dental Clinic.
- →The incumbent confers and makes recommendations to the hospital administration pertaining to hospital policy, initiation of new therapies or need for new equipment.
- →Makes oral and radiographic examinations of the oral cavity, and a diagnosis of pathological or irregular conditions.
Requirements
- ✓Selectee may be subject to a probationary period ESEP appointees typically serve a two year trial period U.S.
- ✓Citizenship is required Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959 This is a designated position covered by Public Law 101-630, requiring contact or control over Indian children.

- ✓A one-year supervisory/managerial probationary period may be required upon selection/placement.

- ✓On-call hours or standby duty may be required.
