Organizational Location: This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Office of Field Operations, San Francisco Field Office, Apparel, Footwear & Textiles Center of Excellence and Expertise (AFT-CEE). What You'll Do

- →This position starts at a salary of $106,437.00 (GS-13, Step 1) to $138,370.00 (GS-13, Step 10) with promotion potential to $ $138,370.00(GS-13 Step 10).
- →Salary: Salary listed reflects the rest of U.S. scale and, if applicable, will be adjusted to meet the locality pay or cost of living expenses of the duty location upon selection.
- →Typical Duties Include: Provide expert technical advice to higher-level CBP officials on entry processes, respond to and resolve complex technical and operational questions regarding supervised programs, and offer guidance on account and broker issues to Centers, Ports of Entry, and Headquarters.
- →Coordinate national account-related activities among Centers and Ports of Entry to address uniformity issues, facilitate open communication between Center and local Port Management, and collaborate with stakeholders in other field locations and at the national Headquarters and Revenue Division levels as needed.
- →Evaluate policies affecting entry processes, develop and implement plans to improve trade compliance and service delivery, recommend additions, deletions, and upgrades to services, facilities, and equipment, and participate in process improvement teams with other Entry Supervisors.
- →Monitor and evaluate the delivery of services to customers, assess methods and techniques used to provide those services, review the outputs and outcomes of direct reports and front-line employees, and take necessary actions to achieve operational objectives and enhance service quality.
- →Supervise, through subordinate supervisors, a medium to large staff including remotely located employees, perform a full range of supervisory functions such as interviewing candidates, approving leave and rewards, managing promotions and disciplinary actions, resolving complaints, and motivating employees to achieve organizational goals.
