About the Role
This position is located at Department of Housing and Urban Development Office of Inspector General, OIG, Office of Investigation. As a Supervisory Criminal Investigator (Special Agent In Charge), you are tasked with the responsibility and oversight of all internal reviews and evaluations of Office of Investigation district (field) offices in order to assess (field) district compliance with OIG policies, directives, operating procedures, and guidelines, in support of the division's mission.
What You'll Do
- →As a Supervisory Criminal Investigator (Special Agent In Charge), you will: Direct all investigations of allegations of misconduct and breaches of integrity and issue Reports of Investigation (ROIs) in accordance with established investigative procedures.
- →Present evidence and recommendations gathered and organized by subordinate staff to the appropriate departmental, OIG and other necessary law enforcement officials for consideration and adjudication.
- →Ensure that all matters involving potential or substantiated criminal misconduct are promptly coordinated and resolved by the appropriate U.S.
- →Attorney's Office.
- →Review reports, memoranda, etc. submitted by the staff, and take required action, keeping the Deputy Assistant Inspector General for Investigation and the AIGI current on the nature of actions taken and further actions recommended.
- →Maintain liaison and represent the OIG in cooperation with other governmental law enforcement organizations, including Federal, state, and municipal entities at meetings and forums relating to investigations of allegations of misconduct and breaches of integrity.
