About the Role
This position is located with the Office of the Secretary of Interior, OJS, Missing and Murdered in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The incumbent performs supervisory duties related to criminal investigations, work in a task force environment that focuses on reported missing persons and cold case investigations related to missing persons and unsolved murder cases.
What You'll Do
- →Directs and manages a staff of criminal investigators engaged in the investigation of complex criminal matters, involving multiple states and jurisdictions.
- →Supervises, conducts, or participates in complex, controversial and impactful investigations in Indian Country.
- →Plans, organizes, coordinates and recommends law enforcement policy initiatives and/or changes resulting from problems identified in criminal investigations in Indian Country.
- →Ensures investigations are properly conducted while adhering to timeframes, deadlines and formats.
- →Creates and maintains effective relationships with law enforcement and intelligence agencies, and serving as the liaison and coordinator to external contacts on issues related to Indian country law enforcement.
