About the Role
This position is located in the Investigations Division of the Office of Counterintelligence, Domestic Operations Directorate, Bureau of Diplomatic Security (DS/CI/ID). The Office of Counterintelligence works to detect, deter, and neutralize the efforts of foreign intelligence services targeting Department of State and foreign affairs community personnel, facilities, and missions worldwide. What You'll Do
- →Oversee the investigation of alleged criminal and administrative misconduct involving Department of State and Chief of Mission (COM) employees, contractors, and dependents.
- →Supervise the work of criminal investigators/special agents involved in the investigation of alleged criminal and administrative misconduct.
- →Provide guidance to case agents in complying with rules of criminal and administrative procedure pertaining to investigations of alleged criminal activity or misconduct.
- →Plan and conduct investigations of employee espionage and counterintelligence cases.
- →Serve in various capacities, including Agent-in-Charge (AIC), on protective details providing personal security to foreign dignitaries and U.S. officials within and outside the United States.
