About the Role
The Department of Energy (DOE), Office of Inspector General is currently looking for a Supervisory Criminal Investigator (Assistant Special Agent-in-Charge) in the Office of Investigations, Eastern Region Investigations Division. Join our professional team of auditors, criminal investigators, and inspectors who help support DOE's mission through performance and financial audits, inspections of management issues and administrative allegations, and investigations into alleged violations of law.
What You'll Do
- →As a Supervisory Criminal Investigator (Assistant Special Agent-in-Charge (ASAC)), you will be responsible for a wide range of complex duties.
- →Major duties include, but are not limited to, the following: Provide technical direction and guidance in the planning, coordination, and development of highly complex and sensitive investigations involving suspected fraud, waste, and mismanagement in programs and operations of the Department.
- →Make recommendations on investigative programs, goals, and objectives, and/or changes in functions.
- →Develop and maintain liaison with external organizations that can provide information, assistance, and investigative continuity on matters of mutual interest.
- →Provide advice, counsel, and instruction to employees on administrative matters and on-the-job training.
- →Find ways to improve production or increase quality of work directed.
