What You'll Do
- →Serves as Supervisory Contract Specialist with the local title of Supervisory Section Chief within the Installation Energy division.
- →Manages and directs the full range of negotiations, award, modification, management/administration, and termination of contracts encompassing the full range of diverse and complex types.
- →To include the application of new and advanced concepts.
- →Exercises responsibility for the proper application of procurement laws, rules, regulations, decisions, and other directives and sound business judgment on all contractual actions.
- →Reviews proposed solicitations and awards.
- →As required, leads negotiations for major problem transactions, arbitrating and resolving differences, and negotiating counter offers or rebuttals where subordinates cannot reach agreement.
- →Directs, plans, organizes, and integrates the work of subordinates in the performance of acquisition functions, involving complex pre-award, post-award, and contract administration management processes.
- →Ensures proper resources and mechanisms are in place to support the development of ongoing maintenance of Procurement policies, business rules, system enhancements, and training, under the direct from higher management authority.
- →Reviews and approves projects, decisions, and contracts to ensure compatibility and consistency of interpretation; that contracts are executed accurately to reflect DOD/DLA polices and directives.
Requirements

- ✓GRADUATE EDUCATION: One academic year of graduate education is considered to be the number of credits hours that your graduate school has determined to represent one academic year of full-time study.
- ✓Such study may have been performed on a full-time or part-time basis.
- ✓If you cannot obtain your graduate school's definition of one year of graduate study, 18 semester hours (or 27 quarter hours) should be considered as satisfying the requirement for one year of full-time graduate study.
