About the Role
Serves as a Supervisory Commissary Management Specialist (Zone Manager). Manages the overall activities and functions of the Defense Commissary Agency's (DeCA) commissaries within a designated Zone. Directs a highly complex operating program that provides continuing supervision and consulting services to senior managers of assigned commissaries. Serves as the field expert, troubleshooter, and supervisor for a group of Commissary Officers at the GS-11 through GS-14 levels.
What You'll Do
- →Manages overall activities and functions of multiple commissaries within a zone ensuring compliance with directive, programs and policies.
- →Plans, organizes, directs, staff, carries out, reviews and evaluates a positive management-oriented commissary operations program.
- →Collaborate with subordinate Senior Management to provide overall direction for implementation of HQ and Area plans, programs, policies, and procedures within the zone, and to ensure high quality delivery of the benefit.
- →Serves as the field expert, trouble shooter and supervisor for a group of Store Directors.
- →Builds and maintains a positive customer culture within assigned stores.
- →Ensure safeguarding of government assets, equipment, and funds in execution of all duties.
