This position is located in the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Office of the Chief Financial Officer (OCFO), Budget Office (BO), Budget Execution (BEX), with one vacancy in Silver Spring, MD.
What You'll Do
- →As a Supervisory Budget Analyst, you will perform the following duties: Develop and monitor budget execution and tracking functions.
- →Prepare annual initial target for the organization, annual labor projections, and annual fixed cost projections, generating analytical reports and electronic presentations.
- →Analyze budgetary data and trends to recommend better funding to support mission requirements.
- →Provide long-range analysis of the potential effects of budgetary actions on national, economic, social, environmental and political objectives.
- →Develop budget operating plans and labor projections.
- →Review, approve, disapprove, and recommend the amount and timing of allotments of funds to programs.
- →Lead preparation of annual budget estimates for the organization to include appropriated and cost-share funds balanced against overhead and projected costs.
- →Has full supervisory authority to oversee and manage the day-to-day work performed by staff.
- →Plan and distribute work to be accomplished by subordinates; set and adjust short and long-term priorities and prepare schedules for the completion of work.
- →Improve production and quality of work, evaluate work performance and address issues.
- →Oversee workforce planning, human capital development, human resource hiring, and identify and provide training needs.
Requirements
- ✓This position will be filled under the DOC Alternative Personnel System (CAPS).
- ✓Under CAPS, positions are classified by career, pay plan, and pay band.
- ✓The ZA-4 is equivalent to the GS-13/14.
- ✓Key Requirements: Applicants must be U.S.
- ✓Suitable for Federal employment, as determined by background investigation.
