About the Role
This position is located in the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Office of the Chief Financial Officer (OCFO), Under Secretary for Management (USM). The primary purpose of this position is to formulate, advise on, coordinate, and carry out policies and procedures to assure the financial soundness of the Department's programs and to support staff functions in terms of planning for future program budgets and general operating expenses. Non-BU: This is a non-bargaining unit position.
What You'll Do
- →As a Supervisory Budget Analyst, GS-0560-15, your typical work assignments may include: Reviews and analyzes the external budget requests and enacted appropriations legislation to ascertain impacts on resource allocation planning.
- →Directs the coordination of a wide range of budgetary functions involving agency department relationships in the formulation and execution process.
- →Directs the review and evaluation of the fiscal year budget proposals.
- →Administers a review process to evaluate proposed long-range plans for resource requirements and the impact of such plans on current and long-range budgetary needs to support program activities.
