About the Role
This position serves as a Supervisory Budget Analyst within the Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL), leading a team of Budget and Financial Management Analysts overseeing complex, high-visibility international assistance programs. Provides strategic budget planning, resource allocation, financial oversight, and develops and defends budget recommendations aligned with U.S. foreign policy priorities and program objectives.
What You'll Do
- →Provides special information, explanation and clarification of budget estimates and prepares responses to Departmental, OMB and Congressional inquiries.
- →Develops budgetary and resource planning guidance in the form of written guidelines, consultations, and orientations to coworkers and management officials in the Department and the interagency arena.
- →Provides guidance and supervision of day-to-day activities and work responsibilities of the Budget Analysts and Financial Management Analysts.
- →Makes recommendations to senior managers on the allocation of funds among the various existing assistance programs and any reallocations needed to accommodate new initiatives.
