What You'll Do
- →This position will allow you to use your expertise to prevent illegal entry of aliens into the United States by land, water, or air; enforce criminal provisions of the Immigration and Nationality Laws; and seek out and apprehend smugglers or aliens who are in the United States illegally.

- →This position starts at a salary of $122,940.00 (GS-13, Step 1) to $159,824.00 (GS-13, Step 10).
- →As a second-line Supervisory Border Patrol Agent (Watch Commander), you will serve as a secondary administrative law enforcement officer (under 5 U.S.C. 8331 (6C) and 8412 (d) and be responsible for directing station operations and supervising Border Patrol personnel during an assigned shift.
- →Typical duties will include: Overseeing station-wide operations, including enforcement, detention and processing, seized property, fleet, facilities, supplies, and interagency coordination.
- →Directing subordinate supervisors, agents, intelligence personnel, processing coordinators, and support staff to accomplish mission objectives.
- →Developing and implementing station priorities, action plans, policies, and procedures consistent with Headquarters, Sector, and Station objectives.
- →Reviewing administrative and criminal cases for accuracy, legal sufficiency, appropriate processing pathways, and compliance with applicable policy.
- →Coordinating intelligence, interdiction, and operational activities involving information collection, evaluation, dissemination, liaison development, and mission support.
