Organizational Location: This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, U.S. Border Patrol, Rio Grande Valley Sector, Targeting and Intelligence Division located in Edinburg, TX. - →This position will allow you to use your expertise to prevent illegal entry of aliens into the United States by land, water, or air; enforce criminal provisions of the Immigration and Nationality Laws; and seek out and apprehend smugglers or aliens who are in the United States illegally.

- →This position starts at a salary of $152,040.00 (GS-15, Step 1) to $197,200.00 (GS-15, Step 10).
- →As a Supervisory Border Patrol Agent (Division Chief), you will serve as a secondary administrative law enforcement officer (under 5 U.S.C. 8331 (6C) and 8412 (d)) with the Targeting and Intelligence Division (TID) and be responsible for.
- →Typical duties will include: Overseeing and coordinating operations and operational programs of the Sector Targeting and Intelligence Division, including sector Targeting Units, Domestic Operations, Foreign Operations Branch, Special Operations Detachment, and the Intelligence Unit.
- →Directing and coordinating sector operational and intelligence activities aimed at detecting, interdicting, and applying appropriate enforcement consequences against individuals and criminal organizations involved in illegal cross border activity within the sector's area of responsibility.
- →Identifying strategic operational challenges and developing solutions to ensure compliance with DHS, CBP, and USBP enforcement priorities, policies, and operational practices.
- →Developing division priorities and operational policies and guidelines, and overseeing their implementation through subordinate supervisors, consistent with Headquarters and Sector strategic plans and program objectives.
- →Providing subordinate supervisors with policy guidance and direction and resolving complex issues involving the interpretation and application of broad policies, procedures, laws, and regulations.
