About the Role
Organizational Location: This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Office of Training and Development, U.S. Border Patrol Academy in Artesia, New Mexico. Additional selections may be made beyond the total number of vacancies specified using this vacancy announcement. Further selections may also be made for additional organizational divisions and/or units within the duty location(s) listed above.
What You'll Do
- →In this Supervisory Border Patrol Agent (CDI) position you will become a key member of a team of homeland security professionals responsible for planning and teaching assigned courses.
- →This position starts at a salary of $109,383.00 (GS-13, Step 1) to $142,199.00 (GS-13, Step 10).
- →Major Duties: Planning and developing training curriculum and course material and delivering instruction on a variety of subjects and facilitating all aspects of training delivery for basic, advanced, and/or continuing education.
- →Instructing, supervising and evaluating students enrolled in basic, advanced and/or specialized resident and non-resident training programs.
- →Providing technical advice and guidance, researching, analyzing and assembling/creating policy and procedure documents to demonstrate compliance to training standards and the accreditation process.
- →Overseeing, coordinating, and evaluating overall educational program activities and implementation of basic department-wide guidelines.
- →Performing long-range planning and management of new and substantive training programs.
