Organizational Location: This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, U.S. Border Patrol, Swanton Sector Headquarters, located in Swanton, VT, at the following Stations: Targeting and Intelligence Division Mission Readiness Operations Division
What You'll Do

- →This position will allow you to use your expertise to prevent illegal entry of aliens into the United States by land, water, or air; enforce criminal provisions of the Immigration and Nationality Laws; and seek out and apprehend smugglers or aliens who are in the United States illegally.

- →This position starts at a salary of $131,901.00 (GS-14, Step 1) to $171,476.00 (GS-14, Step 10).
- →As a first-line Supervisory Border Patrol Agent, you will serve as a primary law enforcement officer (under 5 U.S.C. 8336 (c) and 8412 (d)) and be responsible for: Assisting in the planning and directing of sector-wide programs that enforce immigration and nationality laws.
- →Assuming responsibility for all sector activities in the absence of the Chief Patrol Agent, including making preliminary determinations regarding the prosecution of immigration and national law violators.
- →Reviewing and recommending courses of action regarding personnel issues at the sector level.
- →Assisting and collaborating with other federal agencies and foreign governments to develop and implement sector operations consistent with Customs and Border Protection (CBP) policy.
