The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a first level supervisor planning, directing, organizing, and exercising control over nonsupervisory instructor assigned. Employee also serves as an aircraft simulator and academic instructor for students enrolled in the United States Air Force (USAF) Undergraduate Remotely Piloted Aircraft Training (URT).
What You'll Do
- →Performs first level supervisory workforce management responsibilities.
- →Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities.
- →Applying extensive aviator experience, serves as a simulator instructor for Undergraduate RPA training (URT) and graduate Simulator Instructor Training (SIT-R) for aircraft operations in the National Airspace System and operations under International Civil Aviation Organization rules in international airspace.
- →Applying aviator experience, serves as an academic instructor for students in Undergraduate Remotely Piloted Aircraft Training (URT) and Simulator Instructor Training (SIT-R) programs.
- →Carries out special projects, such as preparing and presenting research material in a clear, concise, and professional manner.
Requirements
- ✓Knowledge of safety, security regulations, practices, and procedures.
- ✓Knowledge of the methods, principles, practices, and programs related to curriculum development, instructional techniques, and training resources.
- ✓Skill in the use of a variety of computer applications and software, to include simulator systems sufficient to meet desired learning objectives and to demonstrate flying procedures and maneuvers.
- ✓Skill in the use of electronic flight bags to deliver academic and simulator training.
- ✓Skill in review and analysis techniques and methods to appraise assigned programs or projects; identify needs and solutions; develop goals, policies, and procedures; monitor progress; and evaluate success.
- ✓Ability to plan, organize, and direct the functions and staff of a small to medium sized organization.
- ✓Ability to communicate clearly and effectively orally and in writing to include classroom instruction before large and small audiences.
- ✓PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work.
- ✓You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
- ✓VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social).
- ✓Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
- ✓You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience
