Air Reserve Technicians are full-time civilian employees who are also members of the Air Force Reserve unit in which they are employed. In addition to their civilian assignments, they are assigned to equivalent positions in the Reserve organization with a Reserve military rank or grade. Appointee's civilian assignments will consist of the following duties.
What You'll Do
- →The primary purpose of this position is: The primary purpose of this position is: as Air Reserve Technician(ART) officer position to serve as Operations Group Commander/Senior ART and as such, manage the flight operations function on a daily basis.
- →DUTIES: Responsible to the Aircraft Operations Officer/Air Commander for all matters pertaining to operational readiness and effectiveness of the unit.
- →Directs all operations and maintenance training programs for the Squadron.
- →Instructs or examines pilots in flying proficiency, plans flights and training missions, evaluates pilots, plans course outlines.
- →Supervise, direct and monitor operations programs for the training of a Reserve flying unit, including flight operations, unit training, intelligence, communications and tactical planning.
- →Manages the Squadron's flying hour program to ensure equitable distribution among the assigned aircrews.
- →Participates in combat training missions and conduct post-mission critiques to evaluate effectiveness and proficiencies of air crews.

- ✓ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: RETIRED MILITARY ARE USUALLY INELIGIBLE FOR MEMBERSHIP IN THE AIR FORCE RESERVE.
- ✓RETIRED MILITARY PERSONNEL WHO HAVE ACTIVE AIR FORCE RESERVE ASSIGNMENTS MAY APPLY PROVIDED THEY SHOW ASSIGNMENT (POSITION AND UNIT) ON THEIR APPLICATION.
