About the Role
THIS IS AN ARMY NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a SUPERVISORY AIRCRAFT FLIGHT INSTRUCTOR (TITLE 32), Air Position Description Number NGD0611000 and is part of the TN ARMY, National Guard. This vacancy is not eligible for membership to a labor organization.
What You'll Do
- →As a SUPERVISORY AIRCRAFT FLIGHT INSTRUCTOR GS-2181-13 (TITLE 32), you will direct and coordinate all light operations and training activities at the installation and supervises the AASF Flight Operations Section.
- →Plan and assign work to be accomplished by 3-12 subordinates in grades through GS-13.
- →Identify developmental and training needs of employees and provide or obtain training.
- →Plan, establish and update the standing operating procedures required for the safe and efficient operation of aircraft and transient aircraft.
- →Instruct and evaluate pilots in operating light or heavy, fixed or rotary wing aircraft.
- →Train and evaluate pilots in basic or advanced instrument flight procedures characterized by a substantial degree of hazard and using the technique of operating an aircraft through reference to instruments as well as visual reference to the terrain and horizon.
- →This involves instrument flight navigation on and off the federal airway structure through the use of automatic direction and instrument landing systems and/or combat mission related training in attack or Heavy transport helicopters.
- →Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- ✓Education Requirement: Must have a high school diploma or general education development (GED) diploma.
- ✓Must have Federal Aviation Administration certifications awarded from accredited civilian aviation programs or must have aviation certifications from accredited military aviation schools.
- ✓To receive credit for Education, you must provide documentation of proof that you meet the Education requirements for this position.
