About the Role
The incumbent serves as a Supervisory Air Traffic Control Specialist within AJV-T114.
What You'll Do
- →Serves as a Manager of one of the Terminal Training Sections with overall responsibility for the management and technical direction of the assigned section.
- →These sections support the terminal/tower portion of the National Air Traffic Training Program.
- →These functions are carried out by a highly trained staff of air traffic controllers and contract support personnel that are responsible for training delivery and the evaluation of student performance.
- →Serves as manager's advisor on management of division resource concerns or situations relative to terminal air traffic training.
- →Uses assigned budget, staff, and other resources to accomplish project/program objectives.
- →Manages budget and requests additional resources, as needed.
- →Contributes to budget planning process and projects short-term future needs.
- →Directs, coordinates, schedules and evaluates work activities with overall responsibility for section administrative direction.
- →Identifies need for staff training and arranges development and training.
- →Plans, organizes and assigns work to section personnel.
- →Facilitates Employee Engagement activities for the assigned section.
- →Establishes performance standards.
- →Conducts evaluations of assigned personnel and performs semi and annual performance evaluations of section personnel.
- →Provides guidance and coaching to employees on work and administrative matters, hears and resolves employee complaints referring group grievances and unresolved matters to higher level management.
