About the Role
Incumbent will be Team Manager for the Operational Evaluation Team in the Quality Control Group in Central Service Center.
What You'll Do
- →Directs the work of subordinate employees and/or managers for multiple organizational units/projects/programs and across multiple function and/or disciplines within a major subdivision.
- →Duties typically include; strategic planning, communicating the organization's vision and objectives, setting priorities, assigning tasks and responsibilities, monitoring and evaluating performance of organizational units, coaching and developing staff and organizational capabilities, approving leave, and taking, recommending, or approving corrective/disciplinary action, as appropriate.
- →Applies comprehensive knowledge in the operation of a civilian Air Traffic facility.
- →Applies an advanced knowledge of the technical aspects of the work directed, an advanced knowledge of budget, human resource, and other administrative policies and procedures, and an advanced understanding of the objectives of the major subdivision.
- →Provides oversight and implementation guidance to facilities implementing quality control initiatives.
- →Apprises relevant parties on status of investigations.
- →Defines, plans, and organizes assigned budget, staff, and other resources to accomplish objectives for more than one organizational unit/project/program.
- →Manages budget and either reallocates resources among organizational units/ projects/programs or requests additional resources, as needed.
- →Performs critical aspects of the budget planning process, including projecting short-term and long-term future needs and justifying resource requirements.
- →Exhibits advanced knowledge of the NAS and the ability to apply and interpret Air Traffic Separation Standards and Procedures.
- →Demonstrates the knowledge and skills required to perform the appropriate level of work at an En Route or Terminal Facility.
- →Provides oversight to highly skilled teams conducting air traffic facility External Compliance Verification evaluations.
- →Coaches, consults, and resolves conflicts.
- →Frequently communicates with Directors of Operation and other Senior Leaders regarding safety events in the National Airspace System.
