About the Role
This position is located in the Office of Financial Management of the Oklahoma City Area Office. Incumbent is directly responsible for financial analysis and reporting, implementing accounting regulations and procedures and disbursing accounting services throughout the Oklahoma City Area Indian Health Service. This position reports to the Director of the Office of Financial Management. A REAL ID will be required beginning May 7, 2025, in accordance with 6 C.F.R. 37.5 (2021).
What You'll Do
- →Directs and manages accounting operations, including accounts payable, financial reporting, accounting policy implementation, and related financial management activities.
- →Supervises and evaluates accounting staff, ensuring accurate financial transactions and compliance with accounting policies, regulations, and internal controls.
- →Provides technical accounting guidance, implements financial management requirements, conducts training, and prepares financial reports and recommendations for management.
Requirements

- ✓Citizenship is required Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959 This is a designated position covered by Public Law 101-630, requiring contact or control over Indian children.

- ✓Background Investigation Requirement: This position requires the successful completion of a federal background investigation as a condition of employment.
