About the Position: The incumbent will serve as the Quality Assurance (QA) Coordinator for the operation of and technical compliance for the Blood Bank and Clinical Laboratory sections of the Department. This position is responsible for the planning and execution of all aspects of the Navy Blood Program's QA Program. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation Access to Medical and Dental Care in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba is extremely limited. Please see Additional Information section below.
What You'll Do
- →Assure compliance with quality assurance programs, safety standards, accreditation and organizational requirements.
- →Evaluate and monitor budget related items.
- →Participate in total quality and performance improvement activities.
- →Ensure that Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) manuals are current and meet all requirements.
- →Supervise the accuracy and quality of work performed by military and civilian technicians, corpsmen and nurses.
- →Monitor and develop training goals.
- →Plan and direct periodic quality assurance systems' audits.
- →Certify acceptable performance of quality control and instrument maintenance.
