These positions are located with the Substation Operations (TOIZ) organization of System Operations (TO), Transmission Services (T), Bonneville Power Administration (BPA). A successful candidate in the Substation Operations Specialist position will provide substation operations technical expertise and leadership for the operation of BPA substations.
What You'll Do
- →As a Substation Operations Specialist, you will: Provide advice and guidance on substation operations to others within BPA.
- →Act as spokesperson for assigned program management activities and serve as program liaison with other internal entities to ensure consistency of interpretation and implementation of the programs.
- →Manage assigned programs as the subject matter expert and provide backup on other programs in the absence of the assigned program manager.
- →Continually monitor, evaluate, and audit substation operations, and based on this review, establishes new and revised operations requirements, methods, and procedures for improving substation operations.
- →Investigate routine and unusual operating errors and substation failures to ascertain cause and prevent future recurrence.
- →Establish control, data, and indication requirements for operation of substations.
