This vacancy is for a GS-0301-13, Strategic Fisheries Advisor located in the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Coast Guard, PACAREA STRATEGIC OPERATIONAL PLANNING DIVISION -5 in ALAMEDA, California.
What You'll Do
- →Being a Coast Guard civilian makes you a valuable member of the Coast Guard team.
- →Typical work assignments include: Developing strategies, relationships, and guidance/decision documents for employing the IUUF COE in subject matter expert exchanges to counter IUUF activities and strengthen ties with interagency and international partners.
- →Providing technical expertise on IUUF and counter efforts, including counsel on varying projects, research, policy, and strategies related to next-generation and emerging capabilities that advance the Coast Guard counter IUUF mission.
- →Collaborating with partner agencies and international partners to develop strategies to counter regional IUUF.
- →Providing briefings to governmental delegations, including governmental and international delegations and visits.
- →Planning, writing, editing, and directing the development and publication of information products in a multitude of formats, including facts sheets, concept documents, policy statement, and other information materials on counter IUUF policies.
- →Maintaining awareness of sensitive information, to include classified information for the purposes of establishing a thorough understanding of capabilities.
- →NOTE: The incumbent must be available to travel to Indo-Pacific and Western Hemisphere.
