About the Role
About the Position: This position is located at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center (WRNMMC) in Bethesda, MD. This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.
What You'll Do
- →Participate and collaborate with acute care multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care.
- →Direct the inpatient medical team regarding swallowing, cognitive communication, language, motor speech and voice needs for patients.
- →Organize clinical data for effective retrieval and investigative requirements for research and improvement projects.
- →Provide input on professional practice guidelines and maintaining clinic protocols.
- →Attend and present at recurring academic lectures presented by Speech Language Pathology Division.
- →Complete diagnostic evaluations and therapeutic interventions with accurate documentation in the EMR.
