About the Role
This position is located in the Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS), in Bangor, Maine. The incumbent serves as the program manager and a member of the State Leadership Team, and is a consultant and advisor for NRCS conservation program activities. Responsible for the coordination, direction, evaluation and oversight of NRCS programs for the assigned state and for programs of other agencies administered by NRCS.
What You'll Do
- →Serves as consultant and advisor NRCS program responsibilities in the assigned by recommending and implementing policies within the framework of broad national policies.
- →Provides statewide leadership and guidance for overall planning, development, and operation of programs and activities within areas of responsibility.
- →Coordinates and correlates the work of other staff leaders working on the programs with other specialists on State, Area and National staffs.
- →Provides supervision to staff of varied levels, including GS-12 Specialists.
- →Provides overall leadership of program activities, making work assignments, evaluating performance, interviewing candidates, making selections and determines training needs.

- ✓Foreign Education: You must submit verification that education completed in a foreign institution, was recognized by an accreditation body accepted by the U.S.

- ✓You must include a Certificate of Foreign Equivalency with your transcript.

- ✓Your transcripts must be in English or include an English translation.
